...sometimes I asked myself if our police officers are actually protecting lives and properties as they claimed or taking lives and property. Lets I forget, let me quickly quote one of the victim call for help before being burnt to ashes. It was a woman with a 5 year old boy, here is her call, “ Please, help to rescue my son!!!!". But nobody could go near the vehicle as the fire was intense.
How come our so call police officer forget so quick the law of Kama; what you sow you'll reap! they have forgotten so quick that posterity will catch up with them someday and their great grand children will also be a victim of their evil did. Meanwhile, the so call police officers will take to their heals if they hear the sound of OLE! OLE!! OLE!!! (THIEVES!!!!) without any sense of a uniformed man, leaving us to the hazard of rubbers. So,what is the use of the police checking point? Moreover, the Yoruba's will say "Ba ba fi eniyan joye awodi, oye kole gbe adiye" meaning, you should be able to answer the responsibility of your profession which was definitely, the opposite of our police officers.
It was indeed a bloddy day in lagos, when over fourty INNOCENT people lost their souls and properties in a multiple motor accident.
On the 14th of August would have been just like every other day in Lagos, but the ugly incident that happened made it an horrible and unforgettable day.
The incident took its hold at the police checking point, where they will always perpetrate their evil acts. Yes! just as you thought, they were collecting their usual N20 which was definitely at the detriment of their victims while their great grand children will live to suffer the consequences of these wasted innocent souls. Actually a trailer rammed into an 18 passenger commercial bus at the police checking point which immediately caught fire. The conflagration was so intense that it spreads over to some other vehicles along the same rout. Thereby, claiming over 40 lives, yet the intruders (POLICE OFFICERS) denied ever having a checking point along that rout.
It was indeed a pathetic experience!!!
This horrible incident took along with it some innocent people along with it; the old, the young and even the infants were not left out of the incident.
Hmmm!!! may God grants the family of the victims the fortitude to bear the lost, while there gentle souls rest in peace.
